Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
The "small" Super Ikonta cameras (4.5 x 6 cm) share the main technical characteristics of the "large" Super Ikonta 6 x 9 cameras, but adapted to their format. Like the Super Ikonta 6 x 9, they follow technical advancements over the years.
The first versions, labeled as 530, were manufactured from 1934 to 1937. The shutter release is directly on the shutter itself.
Starting in 1936 and continuing until the end of the war, the second generation, coded as 531, was equipped with a system to prevent accidental double exposures. The shutter release button was moved to the camera body.
The third generation corresponds to the resumption of production of the second generation, starting in 1947 and continuing until 1955. The model code remained unchanged. The initial units were reserved for export and were sometimes manufactured using old stock parts, including cameras produced before and during the war. These cameras had serial numbers ending with an asterisk. Synchronization for flash photography was introduced on this "third" generation from 1951 onwards.
Cet exemplaire de première génération a un objectif Carl Zeiss, d'Iéna 3,5/7 cm et un obturateur Compur.
